The Caring Center of Wichita, LLC • 714 S. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211 • 316-295-4800
Effective date: Nov. 1, 2026
The Caring Center of Wichita, LLC ("The Caring Center," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of visitors to https://thecaringcenterofwichita.com/ (the "Website"). This policy explains what information we collect or receive through our public Website and related general-interest communications, how it may be used and disclosed, and your choices. The Website uses Wix for site platform and hosting functions, and may use lawful advertising, analytics, and communication tools as they are enabled. Not every technology described below is necessarily active at any given time. Information maintained as part of patient care may be governed by our separate HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Notice of Privacy Practices and other applicable confidentiality laws.
1. Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
When you use general contact, inquiry, request-a-call, appointment-interest, or newsletter subscription features, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, requested service or general topic of interest, and any message you choose to provide. Where enabled, we may also receive information submitted through advertisements, third-party lead forms, event sign-ups, online surveys, or similar voluntary communications. Information entered in a secure patient intake, scheduling, portal, or payment system may instead be governed by that system’s disclosures and applicable health-privacy requirements.
Technical and usage information
Our website platform, hosting, security, analytics, and advertising tools may automatically process technical data such as IP address, device and browser information, approximate IP-derived location, language, referring website, page views, actions on public pages, timestamps, cookie identifiers, and ad-click or campaign identifiers. When advertising tools are enabled, we may receive aggregated campaign performance data or a limited record that a general website inquiry resulted from an ad. We do not assume that such data is unrestricted merely because it was collected from a public page; health-related context can change its legal status.
Sensitive or health-related information
Please do not include detailed medical histories, diagnoses, treatment notes, medications, substance-use history, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive details in an ordinary website form or marketing response. Because an inquiry to a behavioral health practice may reveal health-related information, we treat such information according to the protections that apply to its context. A general contact form is not a patient portal. We will not treat a generic website notice, a cookie choice, or a lead-form submission as a HIPAA authorization to use protected health information (PHI) for advertising.
2. How we use Website information
Subject to applicable law, we may use information to answer inquiries, follow up on requested information or appointments, communicate with people who subscribe to general updates, operate the Website, protect against fraud and spam, improve site content and accessibility, measure aggregated Website and campaign performance, determine which general advertisements help people find our services, administer services through approved vendors, and comply with legal obligations. We may use voluntarily provided contact details to send general newsletters, event notices, or educational updates only where we have an appropriate legal basis and any consent required for the communication. We do not use a patient’s treatment history or protected clinical records for advertising without an applicable legal permission and any required authorization.
Advertising and communication channels may include Google Search and Display advertising, Google Business Profile, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, third-party directories, streaming audio or connected TV, search engine optimization, call-tracking, and email or text communications. These channels may be activated, changed, or discontinued. Advertising performance measurement does not authorize sending confidential patient records to advertising platforms.
3. Cookies, analytics, and third-party content
Depending on what is enabled, we may use strictly necessary cookies for Website operation and security, functional cookies for preferences, analytics tools to measure general site performance, and advertising or conversion-measurement technologies to understand visits from advertisements. Some tools may use cookies, tags, pixels, server-side events, or similar identifiers. Embedded videos, maps, social-media posts, and third-party forms may also process information when loaded or used. These technologies are not all necessarily deployed. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice and consent choices; available browser settings and our Website cookie controls may allow you to limit nonessential cookies.
Wix supports website building and hosting, subject to the services and settings we select. Other possible providers, if enabled, include Google (such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, or YouTube), Meta (Facebook or Instagram advertising, lead forms, or measurement tools), email-marketing or customer-relationship-management platforms, form and scheduling systems, call-tracking providers, spam-prevention services, and additional digital, display, video, or audio advertising partners. These are examples of potential vendors and functions, not a statement that every named product is currently installed. Each provider may have its own privacy notice and role in processing data.
Important health-privacy limit: We will review tracking configurations and restrict or disable third-party advertising technologies on pages, forms, or workflows when they could disclose protected health information or other legally protected sensitive data without a permitted basis. We will not upload patient lists, treatment information, or substance-use disorder information to ad networks for targeting or measurement without all legal prerequisites, including authorization where required. A cookie banner alone does not supply a HIPAA authorization.
4. Who may receive information
Depending on the services we use and the legal basis for processing, information may be received by our website host (Wix), IT or website-management contractors, form-delivery and email providers, spam and security services, scheduling and telephone providers, analytics services, and advertising or measurement partners. If advertising tools are enabled, these companies may receive ordinary technical or campaign-related identifiers on appropriately configured public pages. They may process the information as service providers or, in some settings, for their own purposes under their terms. We may disclose information to comply with law, protect safety or security, or as part of a lawful business transition, subject to applicable restrictions. Where a vendor creates, receives, maintains, or transmits PHI on our behalf, we will use appropriate HIPAA arrangements, including a business associate agreement (BAA) where required, and will not rely on an ordinary advertising relationship as permission to disclose PHI.
